Welcome to Woodham Golf Club a course commonly referred to as “The best laid out course in the North East of England” a parkland course which has a wide and varied mix of 18 tests of the game we know and love.
Our 18 hole, 6,671 yard course is a delight to play. With a mix of lakes and woodland it is the perfect picturesque setting. The course was designed by James Hamilton-Stutt, grandson of one of the greatest golf course designers, James Braid.
This makes being referred to as the “best laid out course in the North East” a very impressive feat. The course is said to be one of the most challenging tests of golf in the North, with numerous water hazards and tree-lined fairways it often catches out the more prestigious of players. Whether it’s the early sunrise or the crisp orange sunset the course looks incredibly inviting and there’s one thing for sure, we’re glad to call it home.
The clubhouse is the heart of our community, welcoming guests of all ages and golfing abilities. We pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere making everyone that visits feel at home.
We are constantly improving our facilities on and off the course, whether that be general aesthetically pleasing maintenance to the car park entrance, hollow tining the greens or working on the buggy path we want to make your visit as memorable as possible.
At Woodham we have a gorgeous 18 hole course that flows between woodland and waterways, a buggy path that links each hole making access far easier, course furniture for those moments of peace between shots. There is a fantastic wrap around outdoor patio for the sunnier days when you’ve finally reached the Lakeside Bar & Restaurant, or the glorious views from the panoramic windows for duller days. Inside the clubhouse we also have a fully stocked Pro Shop and changing facilities.
