The Sea Hotel
This is the area where the famous novelist was born and where most of her bestselling novels are set. Many places of interest are also close at hand including the Metro Centre, Beamish Open Air Museum and the historic city of Durham.

We have 37 bedrooms, 5 of which are in the new Annexe which provides purpose built accommodation for disabled guests.
All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and come with en-suite facilities.
Premier rooms and a number of smoking rooms are also available, subject to availability.
Flat screen television with sky and terrestrial channels, free wi-fi Internet connection, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, trouser press and tea & coffee making facilities are a standard feature.
